BREAKING NEWS: Kyrgiakos Leaves Liverpool For Wolfsburg

By on August 22, 2011

Liverpool have confirmed the sale of defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos to German outfit Wolfsburg.

The Greek centre back joined the Reds in 2009 from AEK Athens and went on to make 49 appearances for the club but has now made the move to the Bundesliga after Kenny Dalglish decided he wasn’t in his plans for this season.

Following the sale of Kyrgiakos, it is expected that Dalglish will look to sign a replacement before the transfer window closes on the 31st August.
