Arsenal Transfer News: Eden Hazard “Will Not Be Leaving This Season”

By on August 25, 2011

Lille coach Frederic Paquet has told Arsenal not to bother wasting their time trying to sign Eden Hazard.

Rumours recently suggested the Gunners had submitted a £23million bid for the talented winger who has been identified as the perfect replacement for the departed Samir Nasri. However, Paquet has confirmed the club are not prepared to lose their star midfielder.

“Eden will not be leaving this season,” said Paquet.

“We are aware of interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe but we are not prepared to sell.

“He is very happy here; he understands our project and wants to stay for at least another year.”
