Man Utd vs Arsenal: Preview & Predicted Gunners Team

By on August 28, 2011

If there was ever a time to play Manchester United, it certainly isn’t this one. United boast an undefeated record at Old Trafford, and last season they drew only 1 game there.

They have new recruits this season in Young, Jones and David De Gea, and at the same time boast a young squad, in terms of players like Welbeck and Cleverley. I know there have been issues surrounding United’s new GK De Gea, but if we try and pay attention to that the games is already lost for us. Spurs showed no respect for De Gea by shooting on sight of goal, and I hope we learned something because I DO NOT expect the same from us.

We will be without Gervinho and Song, who resume their suspension this week. Add to that Frimpong. Traore came on against Udinese, and may feature. Kosher should return.

Probable Arsenal Line-up :

It would be foolish to play Ramsey as as CDM, so I think DJ should suffice. Moreover, if Sagna does want to go forward, DJ can provide adequate cover. It’s going to be tough to beat the champions, but if there ever is a time to rock Manchester, its now…

We can win this contest…Anyone thinking so?

    ———————–Snezzy
    Jeckinson, Konsienly, Vermarleen, Sagna,
    ——————–Djourou
    Alex Ch’lain, —-Rosicky,—-Arshavin
    ———————RVP——————
    ——————-Walcott—————-

Walcott gets a cetral forward role. RVP and Rosicky are the senior most of the squad and understand each other well enough. Let loose Walcott on an inexperienced Man United defense and Rosicky has been on the ascendancy and a thrilling Rosicky is a true cameo performer. Chamberlain gets his first call up…to use his pace at the biggest stage to unraffle Opposition and get Walcott, fellow pace mate free. RVP in a free role to 1) Carry out his captain duties and 2) stealing whatever spoils to expertly put De Goa on hot soup. 4.1.3.1. Subs Ramsey, Landbury, Afobe (Where is he BTW – Loan Spell or what)

If Wenger fields this side we will get out of Old Trafford Smiling. I promise… As long as Chambs is not Red Carded! If he is Walcott moves to the wing and RvP takes the Central Attack role back…We must plan for such eventualities these days after all we have three key players serving the Red Ban!

United rampant, today. The piece makes amusing reading after the game: “if there ever is a time to rock Manchester..”

Take heart though, Gunners – you’re still above the relegation zone (just). I know you can do a lot better but you were woeful today.

When was the last time the two North London giants conceded 13 goals to Manchester clubs in the same day? Got to be a first.
