Arsenal Line Up Bid For Out-Of-Favour Chelsea Ace

By on August 28, 2011

Arsenal are lining up a shock move for Chelsea defender Alex, according to reports.

The Gunners are in desperate need to recruit a centre back and have identified the Brazilian defender after a row emerged over No.1 target Gary Cahill.

Bolton were left fuming after Arsenal offered £6million for the England defender just a third to what The Trotters rate him at. Arsene Wenger denied the accusations made by Bolton and admits the club submitted a far more favourable offer.

Alex was expected to join Italian outfit Juventus this summer but interest from Arsenal could keep the Brazilian in London, with Arsene Wenger weighing up an offer according to reports this weekend.

This whole mess is so disurbing. I cannot believe Arsene, the Board and the NEW Majority Owner Kroneke would let the Arsenal Organization deteriorate to such an extent !!!

Hard to believe we beat Barcalona, the acknowledged best club in the world 2-1
in the Champions league little more than 6 months ago and Man U the Premier League Champions 1-0 little more than 5 months ago. We could compete then, but now?

Everyone can see the spending going on by the top teams in the world. It is so high Arsenal is not even in the same league as ManU, ManC and Chelsea. We cant keep our best players let alone attract new ones….

Something is seriously wrong with our CLUB strategy. Are we going to compete or have we decided to buy as many good young players as we can, a couple of good value, experienced players and try to be a top 6 team NOT a TOP 2 English team??

Seems like the decision has already been taken without public disclosure. What do you think?
