Arsenal Transfer News: Gunners Close On £10m Forward

Arsenal are set to sign Monaco striker Park Chu-young who looked to be on his way to Lille.

Arsenal are set to sign Monaco striker Park Chu-young from under the noses of French outfit Lille.

The South Korean was on his way to the French champions but failed to show up for a second medical and it seems he is now set to move to Arsenal:

“We haven’t had a telephone call, nothing,” Lille president Michel Seydoux said. “From what we understand he could be at Arsenal.

“Like Monaco, Lille are baffled. Everything [about his move] had been agreed.”

The 26-year old has played over 100 games for Monaco scoring 26 goals for the French side and is valued at £10m. The worry for many Arsenal fans may be that stealing the player from Lille may hamper any potential deal for Gunners target Eden Hazard, who is contracted to Lille.

he was moving to lille for £2.6 million so how is he now worth £10 million…this looks more like a marketing ploy to tap in to the asian market rather than signing a star we get another nobody

I don’t know why wenger always open road to their rivalry club to get best player but for him to buy player it difficult, when maybe I should support another team coz gunners and his manager are not sure.
