BREAKING NEWS: Arsenal’s Armand Traore Having Medical At QPR

By on August 29, 2011

Arsenal defender Armand Traore is having a medical at QPR today, according to Sky Sports sources.

The Frenchman has struggled to break into the first team and has previously had loan stints with Portsmouth and Juventus. Traore now seems set to join the Premier League new-comers on a permanent deal.

It was expected that Traore would battle it out with Gibbs for the left back role this season but it seems that Arsene Wenger has decided to let the 21-year-old move on. The sale also suggests the Arsenal supremo will look to add a new left sided defender to his ranks before the window closes, as this leaves the Gunners with only one recognised left back in the first team squad.

    Hi…stop balaming Arsene! I don’t think it’s Arsene’s fault..His hands are tight..why don’t you guys ask the Arsenal Board what’s really hapenning???

Please use a dictionary to check your spelling. That’ll help. Yes, it true Arsene’s hands are “tight” – so tight that he’s only spend on cheap players, and not on proper worldclass defenders needed.

        Hi Asian Gunner,
Spelling might be your stronger point but your grammer is awful. “So tight that he`s only spend…. What is that? Don`t you mean he’ll. As in he will?
Must agree though about his hands being tied and the board not providing the wonga.

Have you missed the point of what Traore moving actually means? Not only is our first choice LB out of action with injury but now his back up is going. WE HAVE NO LEFT BACK!!! WTF is Arsene thinking?

It means that we are finally going to buy somebody to replace Clichy because Traore was never good enough for us and Gibbs can’t play more than 2 games without getting injured! So i consider this a good thing!!!

I agree it’s the boards fault not Wengers. They are not providing the required funds for Arsene to buy the players needed. everyone should refuse to spend at the games ie merchandise, food, drinks until they repay the paying public with quality signings

Jose Enrique was keen on Arsenal and available at a bargain price but Arsene felt that these 2 babies will be able to step up. Look at Enrique’s performance for Liverpool!

I have been watching football for the last 3-4 years but even a rookie like me can understand this so what’s the problem with Arsene? Looks like age is catching up……..If Trarore was that good then why an average club like Juventus didn’t sign him on a permanent basis?

I see Traore moving as a very good sign. It will mean us either playing one of the best Left Backs in the world in his international position or buying another left back. You never know it might be both!!

It would also mean he is convinced that he is signing at least 2 more centre backs!!

    How about this for defence

    Sagna Cahill Samba Vermaelen
    (Koscielny Mertesacker Dann Cissokho)
    Carling Cup
    (Jenkinson Djourou Miquel Gibbs)

I know that 5 players seems a lot but if we can sell Squillaci and Hoyte as well as Traore, then that is 6 defenders that will have left Eboue, Squillaci, Hoyte, Clichy, Traore and Cruise and only 1 in so far.

As it stands we are likely to buy 1 or may be 2 defenders….Surely

WANGER is our problem where is the money from Fabregas and Nasri? not count clich and hundred thousand from the board. arsene wenger is a gamble, where’s EDEN HAZARD and other quality players he promise to buy when we qualified for champione league? let him (WENGER) depart from emirate and look for another club arsenal fans are not happy.

Guyz, i can understand our fellings toward the whole issues. But let come of it the problems are not totally of Arsene Wenger, but that of the BOARD who have really come short of support for our coach. Let me remain us, after the departure of david Dain. The board appoint Gardizi who is close to Stan K. who always want profits on his investment at Arsenal but without putting back money into the club. Guyz lets think and think very well.

Arsene is to blame.Even though he hasn’t said he is starved of funds,he has always believed in youth, his pet project. The board has been consistent in saying Wenger has funds at his disposal,he has never disputed it. The fact that the Board has sanctioned sales of players and went for children must mean that he has prefernce for youth. What do you expect the greedy board to do;free money.

U see guys most of u rejected the Russian he had a far better proposer than Koronke. Seriously does any one know what is happening???? even the few subs like Eboue (who is better than Jknson), Denilson (who is better than Ramsey) Vela (who is better than Chamak) were sold or loaned.

The only reason Traore is having a medical is that yesterday he twisted his neck watching ManU players running past him.

Wenger is a coward. He will not admit fault and weaknesses but act brave “I will not leave” when it’s so clear he is the problem for years now.

Wenger was iven £25m in july to spend by the board and told any further funds would have to come from transfers. £7m for Clichy, £24m for Nasri and £35m for Fabregas reaches £68m plus the £25m makes £93 MILLION POUNDS. The board are scum, and need to be replaced. But Wenger is far from blameless. I’m just steeling my soul for Van Persie’s January transfer request..

come on, we need some perpective on this defeat …

    1) when was the last time a team scored 3 unsavable goals from free kicks and outside the box ?

    2) when was the last time when a team already has half of its first 11 injured and 2 experienced defenders were injured 1-2 days before a match against a strong team and has its bench filled with youths who havent played a senior game ?

    3) forget about the 2 gals after jenkinson was sent off … its inconsequential after that

    4) and 2-3 goals were directly caused by unforced errors by traore, who wouldn’t have played if sagna was fit. and did anyone noticed how Man U chose to attack him everytime they had the ball ? it’s inevitable, but understandable from Man U point of view. you identify the weak link and punish him.

But i’m very sure were vermaleen and sagna fit and played, we would have more than a chance. Man U didnt play well against tottenham and arsenal. they were lucky to play both teams that has weaknesses in their defence. for anyone who blamed wenger for not tweaking his tactics ? what are you talking about ? there is nobody on the bench for him to work with ? there’s only one tactic, and that is to keep attacking and explot man u weakness at the back as well, which we did on many occasions. we were just badly let down by the defense. and at 3-1 down, what choice do we have but to keep attacking ? and hope that offense is the best form of defense ? shots on goal were almost even, and 3 of their goals were not saveable and very freaking bad luck for us. and 3 unforced mistakes by traore and 2 goals after the sent off ? come on, don’t make a mountain out of a molehill … so what do you expect arsenal to do ? buy 10 new defenders ? if you are on a bad run of luck, everything fails. just let this bad streak fizzle off and pick up the pieces after that

Good Riddance to bad rubbish. His last game for Arsenal was a horrific display. I wonder how wenger put up with this guy for so long!
