Still a decent signing, I’d been getting worried by the lack of gossip about left backs, we’re very weak there, evidenced by the fact that our right back is our preferred back-up at left-back.

i dont get the timing. Clichy left ages ago and that left gibbs and presumably traore. I got the feeling wenger wanted to put TV5 there and get a centre-back or 2.
NO centre-backs which left it to gibbs and traore..although sagna can play there…..traore is not even a back up player, so our lack of quality was there at the start of the season. This signing is 2 or 3 weeks too late.

Finally…a left back. Per mertwhat? Are u kidding me,the leader of the worst defense in werder history. But then anything to keep Djorou and Squillacci away from competative matches
