BREAKING NEWS: Benayoun Confirms He’s Signed For Arsenal

By on August 31, 2011

Chelsea midfielder Yossi Benayoun has confirmed on twitter that he has signed for Arsenal on loan for the season.

The Israel International was being tracked by Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs in recent days but the Gunners become front runners this afternoon and discussions were thought to be at an advanced stage.

The player has now confirmed the deal has gone through with less than 30 minutes left before the window closes. Arsenal are also thought to be closing in on the signing of Everton’s Mikel Arteta.

Not exactly the marquee signing we were hoping for is it? Where’s Hazard, Martin, M’Villa? Where’s the money gone?

No real replacement for fabregas. Wenger should have made a marquee signing to make a statement of intent. Mata should of been ours or hazard. PathetIc
