Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has been passed fit to play in this must win game for United against Sunderland. If Man Utd are to win their record fourth successive league title they have to collect three points at the Stadium Of Light after Chelsea beat Liverpool 2-0 at Anfield. United defender Rio Ferdinand is only fit to take a place on the bench so Evans starts next to Vidic, while Sir Alex Ferguson has opted to play Berbatov as well as Rooney up front as he searches for goals.

John O’Shea gets the nod at right back with Neville missing out, and Manchester United’s midfield is made up of Giggs, Scholes, Fletcher and Nani.
