Young Star May Be Forced To Leave United

By Football Talk.

Manchester United midfielder Zoran Tosic has admitted he may be forced to leave Old Trafford if he doesn’t get more first team opportunities next season. The young Serbian was sent out on loan in January, having a successful spell at German side Cologne scoring 5 times in 12 appearances.

Tosic was signed in 2009 from Partizan for £8m and hailed as one of Manchester United’s next generation, but made just two first team appearances before his move to the Bundesliga. The 23-year-old winger has now claimed he sees his future at Old Trafford and wants to stay at United, but only if he was to be given more first team opportunities, and if that doesn’t happen he has no problem moving on, with loan club Colonge interested in making his move permanent.

“If United want me back I will be very happy to return but I don’t want to go back there and be in the same situation as last year, I want a more important role in the set-up,” he told Serbian TV channel b92’s website.

“I feel great here but it remains to be seen what Manchester United will say because it’s up to them, I have a contract with the club and it’s their decision.

“If that’s not what United want, then I will have a look at alternative options.

“I’ve spoken to Cologne’s officials and they told me they would like to see me wear the team’s shirt next season too.”
