[VIDEO GOALS] Tottenham 2-1 Arsenal: Walker Scores 30-Yarder To Win Derby

By on October 2, 2011

Kyle Walker was the hero for Spurs after his 30-yard strike won the game 2-1 for the home side. Spurs took the lead just before half time in controversial circumstances when replay’s showed Van der Vaart had controlled the ball with his arm before firing home to make it 1-0. To infuriate Arsenal further, the Dutchman should have received a second yellow card for celebrating in the crowd, after earlier having been booked for a late foul, but Mike Dean failed to brandish the red card. Arsenal drew level shortly after the break through Ramsey, but with 20 minutes remaining Walker hit a rasping drive that was too hot to handle for the Arsenal goalkeeper, as it flew past him into the net for what turned out to be the winning goal.
