Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is confident Didier Drogba will ink a new deal with the Blues.

The 33-year old is out of contract in the summer, with the likes of Bayern Munich and PSG monitoring the Chelsea striker. Reports have suggested Drogba rejected Chelsea’s initial one year extension offer, with the Ivorian believed to be holding out for a two year deal. Villas-Boas said:

“I don’t see it as a big issue.

“Players who are attached emotionally to this club – and Didier is attached emotionally to this club – will eventually renew their contract.

“So I go into no panic on that situation.”
