North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham have released a joint statement condemning the chants at yesterday’s Derby at White Hart Lane.
Both sets of supporters were heard to be chanting unsavoury song’s at the opposing supporters, players and management during the game and both clubs have promised to do all they can to track down and punish those involved:
“Both clubs were extremely disappointed to hear the chants from supporters at yesterday’s game. Neither club tolerates foul language, racist chanting, homophobic chanting or any anti-social behaviour from its supporters.
“We shall be working closely with each other to identify the individuals involved.”
