Chelsea Youngster Has Terry In His Sights

Chelsea youngster Jeffrey Bruma aspires to reach the levels achieved by Stamford Bridge hero John Terry.

The 19-year-old is on loan at German side Hamburg but would love to fill the void when JT decides to call it a day at Chelsea. Bruma admits he was in regular contact with the Chelsea skipper whilst he was on loan to Championship club Leicester and aims to reach the heights set by Terry one day.

“Terry was my teacher at Chelsea, has invested much time and energy into me and even sent text messages regularly when I was loaned to Leicester City,” he told de Telegraaf. “His level is my aim.”

Bruma made his first competitive appearance for Holland in their European Championship qualifier against Moldova last night. The defender had previously appeared for the Oranje in friendlies against Ukraine and Uruguay.
