Lazio defender Stefan Radu remains on Chelsea’s radar as contract talks with Jose Bosingwa rumble on.
The Romanian international has been identified as a possible replacement for Bosingwa who has yet to extend his deal which runs out at the end of the summer, despite the players insistence he want’s the situation sorted out soon.
However, as talks are currently at an impasse, Chelsea are keeping tabs on Radu and his agent Victor Becali, speaking to Italian radio station Mana Mana, has refused to rule out a New Year departure. He said:
“If something interests us in the coming months then we will talk it over. Stefan has renewed his contract but in football you can never take anything as certain.
“I have read that big clubs in England, Spain and France are interested but at the moment I have not spoken to anyone about it.”
