Juventus are eyeing Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill and are lining up a January move for the star.

Cahill was one of the most wanted players over the summer, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham all linked with moves for the 25-year-old. Arsenal were the only club reported to have submitted a formal offer, believed to be in the region of £6m, but Bolton rejected it out of hand.

The Gunners have been linked with a January move once again, but Italian giants Juventus are preparing a surprising move of their own for the England international say Tuttosport.

The England defender is out off contract in June and Bolton will be keen to cash in on the £17million rated defender or risk looking him for nothing next summer. Juventus are still rebuilding their fallen empire after the club spent over £60million in the summer.
