By on October 12, 2011

Olympique Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier is being monitored by Chelsea, according to reports.

The People believes Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has told scouts to keep tabs on the 20-year old who is highly regarded at the French club.

Despite the optimism surrounding the youngster, Grenier has only featured 11 times for former Ligue 1 Champions so far in his career but is expected to have a bright future ahead of him.

Chelsea will have to fight off competition from both Real Madrid and Arsenal as the pair are also reportedly keeping tabs on the Grenier, who has been dubbed as the “French Kaka” by some quarters, and its thought £9million will be enough to sign the talented midfielder.
