Arsenal Transfer News: Agent Confirms Gunners Interest In Brazilian

By on October 12, 2011

Arsenal have been in contact with Porto over the availability of their star striker, Hulk, according to his agent.

The Brazilian powerhouse has been heavily linked with a move away from the Portuguese giants in recent months, but the club insist the striker will cost a potential suitor an astonishing £87million.

Rumours circulating suggest the Gunners were pondering a £23million January move, and his agent confirmed their interest but has dismissed the figures being reported. Fonseca told Portuguese newspaper A Bola:

“Every year there are more clubs interest in Hulk and I am also aware that there are clubs from outside the Premier clubs interested.

“This Arsenal rumour is news to me but it is true that there has been contact before but nothing happened.

“But I speak often with Porto and the figures have not changed. He will only be sold if someone pays the €100m so this figure of £23m that has appeared would not be considered.”
