Chelsea & Liverpool Miss Out On £45m Brazilian Wonderkid

By on October 13, 2011

Chelsea and Liverpool are set to lose out to Real Madrid in the race for Sao Paulo star Lucas.

The Premier League pair have been linked with the Brazilian wonderkid but it’s Spanish giants Madrid who are favourites to land the exciting youngster. This news will come as a particular blow to Chelsea, who are set to lose out to Madrid in the capture of Neymar, who has been tipped to join the La Liga giants next summer.

Now it seems Jose Mourinho will also beat Andre Villas-Boas’ side to the signing of exciting prospect Lucas, whose agent Juan Figer has been holding talks with the Galacticos, according to Spanish newspaper El Confidencial.

The 19-year-old playmaker already boasts 10 caps for the Brazilians and has been tipped to a mega money switch to Europe next summer. However the teenager is tied to a long-term contract in South America and Sao Paulo would be expected to fetch around £45million for the youngster.

i don’t care where he goes instead i would like to see Ericksen and Grenier join chelsea. These guys have proven themselves again and again especially ericksen.
I would kill the chelsea scout who thought ericksen was of no good when we had him on trial as a 14 year old.
