Prolific £20m Striker – “I Love Redknapp, My Dream Is To Play In The Premier League”

By on October 22, 2011

CSKA Moscow striker Seydou Doumbia is reportedly keen on a move to Tottenham making no secret of his desire to play in the Premier League.

Reports in recent weeks have linked the 23-year-old with a move to White Hart Lane and the Ivorian international has made no secret of his desire to move to England. He also took the time to praise Spurs boss Harry Redknapp, claiming all African players admire him.

“I am very interested in playing in the English league. Harry Redknapp is a coach African players love, so who knows?,” he told Sky Sports News.

“It is only paper talk at the moment. I want to make a name for myself in the Russian league and in the Champions League as well, the rest will come once I am playing very well.

“My dream is to play in the Premier League, everyone knows that.”

Manchester City have also been credited with an interest in the striker, who has scored 23 goals in 37 league games since joining CSKA in 2010 and is rated at around £20m.

against kazan rose was great.contender for the best spurs player.a fullback plus winger.2 for the price of one.only doubt if he got into the team ,would he stay at the same fiery level?think hes a bit small for a defender .out wide he could be a tremendous asset.

I didn’t see the game but thats lennons first game back from injury give the fella a chance. Granted his final ball isn’t great but a fully fit and confident lennon is a dangerous player to have. He just needs a run of games and he’ll get back to where he was. No doubt you chaps were the same ones thinking we should let Bale go after looking impressive in his first few games followed by inconsistent displays where he wasn’t really given a run of games.

Lennon just needs to play a few more to get back into the game – which I am confident he will dissapoint most negative thinking fans.As for JD, you need to demontrate & prove what you say. You aren’t at your best & need to raise your std.of play with tact
