Chelsea Signing Praises Stamford Bridge Spanish Connection
Summer signing Oriol Romeu admits the Spanish contingent at Chelsea has helped him settle at Stamford Bridge.
The 19-year old moved to Stamford Bridge from European Champions Barcelona this summer in a £5m deal, and the midfielder admits he feels at ease with his fellow countrymen along side him and believes it can help on the pitch as well as off it.
“It’s better for him, for Juan (Mata), for me to have here players from Spain,” said midfielder Romeu, who joined Chelsea from Barcelona during the transfer window.
“You can relax with them, you can speak with them and, on the pitch, I think you have a better relationship to play with them.
“We are friends so sometimes we go to dinner, to lunch.”
