Partizan Belgrade youngster Lazar Markovic admits he would love to one day play in the English Premier League, with Chelsea as his preference.

The 17-year old Serbia youth international has been tipped to a move to one of Europe’s elite in January and the Blues are just one of the clubs linked with a move for the gifted forward. Markovic has made no secret of his love for the Blues:

“Chelsea is the club that I love the most, of course after Partizan,” he told Serbian press.

“I would love to play there. I believe that the Premier League is the best football and that’s the type of league which suits me.”

The talented forward signed a five year deal in the summer and is valued at around £8million.

‘standford’… ‘why not we shall Chelsea fans are interested too to..’… and you wonder why the die-hard voted NO! on selling their CPO shares… sad state of affairs… BTW I’m a foreigner and I understand it’s about the love, the respect… not how big nor is it about how much money you make… sure.. Roman has the funds to keep us competitive, keep us pushing the heights of the premier league and the champions league.. BUT if you expect more than just competing (i.e. winning) after jumping on board due to Roman’s push I suggest you look at leaving us and signing up with Man City.
