[VIDEO GOALS] Chelsea 3-5 Arsenal: Van Persie Hat-Trick Seals Stunning Derby Win

By on October 29, 2011

Robin Van Persie scored a hat-trick as Arsenal beat Chelsea 3-5 in a stunning London Derby at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea opened the scoring through a Lampard header before Van Persie levelled for the visitors. John Terry restored the home sides advantage just before the break to make it 2-1 to Chelsea at half time.

Arsenal came flying out the blocks in the second half and scored 2 goals in quick succession through Santos and Walcott to put the Gunners ahead for the first time in the game at 2-3. Juan Mata then smashed home from 25 yards to draw Chelsea level but a late Van Persie double not only sealed his hat-trick but all three points for Arsenal as they ran out 3-5 winners and end a thrilling London Derby. As long as Bosingwa and Cole are in any match,Chelsea should forget about clean sheet. Why can’t Luiz pair up with Ivanovic? Ramires coming off 4 lukaku does not make sense to me. By the end of the day it could be nine points behind the leaders.

bosingwa is liablity..good on d attack but poor defending..put iva on d right n get alex/luiz along wit terry..and i think meireles should start as many as possible..his range of passes r better than mikel..our defence has been poor..and it showed against better teams like arsenal and united!need to tighten it!

Ahahaha, so good Gooners, so good!!! Five goals at the bridge, talk about how shit our defence is all you want… 5 goals at the Bridge… It must sting!, 2, 3, 4, or 5 times over; the vaunted Chelsea defense cut to shreds. I will never forget Terry falling over like a drunken mental patient ever, thank you my racist friend, thank you! RVP!

What a day!Not a single pundit gave Arsenal a win. It shows how biased and shallow they are! This is the reason I suport Arsenal for the excitment and beautiful game. I believe there will be lots of surprises ahead as the boss said.
    Long live Arsen!

after watching the highlights over and over again, just realized that Petr Cech might have given 3 goals to Arsenal at angles where goals shouldn’t have gone in. Taking away that 3 goals and a goal from Malouda’s blunder, match might had ended differently.

if Gervinho,Ramsey, RVP did not miss any chances … it would indeed have been VERY different too.

      whatever …
