Arsenal missed the chance to secure qualification to the knockout stages of the Champions League after only managing a 0-0 draw with Marseille. Aaron Ramsey had the best chance of the first half, delaying too long on the ball when inside the box and had his shot blocked. Robin van Persie was brought on to liven-up a stale second half and the in-form Dutchman missed a great chance to win it for the Gunners, sending his chip straight in to the arms of the Marseille goalkeeper when through on goal.
