Man Utd still have it all to do in order to secure qualification to the knockout stages of the Champions League after a disappointing 2-2 draw with Benfica at Old Trafford tonight. Benfica took a shock early lead when Manchester United defender Phil Jones put through his own net after just 3 minutes. United drew level on the half hour mark, Dimitar Berbatov heading home for 1-1, and Fletcher put the home side ahead shortly after half time. However, their lead lasted less than 60 seconds as De Gea’s poor clearance was punished as Aimar fired home from close range to level things at 2-2.
The team is weak.Regardless of what we think about Ferguson and how good he is…this team will not pick up in december and without a good midfielder(not sideways passer) we will not win the premier league and will almost certainly be humiliated in the champions league.
