TRANSFER NEWS: €22m Striker Rules Out Move
Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd have received a set back in their pursuit of Sporting Lisbon striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel.
Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd have received a set back in their pursuit of Sporting Lisbon striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel, after the player distanced himself with a move away from the club.
The Premier League trio have been tracking the 22-year-old striker for some time and the player recently welcomed interest from England. Van Wolfswinkel has been in impressive form this season, hitting 7 goals in 9 games and it was reported that Chelsea, Liverpool and United were lining up bids for the talented €22m rated forward this January.
However, recent reports have suggested the Dutchman has told his club he is happy in Portugal and has no interest in pushing for a move away from Sporting, leaving the Premier League giants looking for alternatives this winter.
