Transfer Rumours: Liverpool Close On £15m Man Utd Target
Liverpool are stepping up their interest in Bologna playmaker Gaston Ramirez, according to several reports today.
The Reds have been strongly linked with the Uruguayan international in recent months and according the latest news emanating from Italy, the Merseysiders have made further enquiries regarding his availability with a January move in the pipeline.
Ramirez, who has scored 3 goals in 10 games so far this season, has also been tracked by Man Utd and Barcelona, but it’s believed Liverpool’s interest in the strongest and they are keen for him to link up with fellow countrymen Luis Suarez and Sebastian Coates.
The 21-year-old signed a contract extension at the start of the season but this has simply strengthened Bologna’s negotiating position and the Serie A outfit are now demanding a fee in excess of £15m.
