The agent of Tottenham midfielder Sandro has revealed that the player has attracted interest from all over Europe and refused to rule out a move away from the club.

Sandro became a key player for Spurs last season, particularly during their impressive Champions League run, and was rewarded with a new five-year contract in September.

However, Tottenham signed the experienced Scott Parker in the summer and this, combined with some injury problems, has seen the 22-year-old’s first team chances limited this season.

Sandro’s agent, Luiz Paulo Chignall, has revealed the defensive midfielder has attracted interest from all over Europe with the likes of Manchester United, Barcelona and Roma all linked with the samba star in recent months.

Chignall went on to say that although no official approach has been made yet, his client could be interested in a move to one of the big European leagues should an opportunity arise.

“He’s doing very well. He has recovered from his injury and is being eased back in by Tottenham,” Luiz Paulo Chignall told on a man who has been linked with Barcelona and Roma.

“Sandro played well in last season’s Champions League and attracted the attention of several European sides.

“Many clubs have contacted me for information on his situation, but there has been no official proposal.

“He’s a Tottenham player and any possible negotiations must pass through the club.

“A move to Italy? Sandro is interested in playing in the major leagues, and Serie A is one of them.

“But his contract was renewed because the club considers him to be an important player.

“In football you can never rule anything out, though, with it possible that negotiations will see all parties reach an agreement.”
