Transfer Rumours: Arsenal, Man Utd & Tottenham Chase £6m Ace

By on December 16, 2011

With the January transfer window just around the corner, the transfer gossip is hotting up. We’re looking at some of the rumours doing the rounds in the papers and rating it’s validity. Next to be linked with a move to the Premier League is Rasmus Elm.

Elm is reported to have attracted interest from Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur after impressing for his club side AZ Alkmaar this season.

The 23-year-old can play both in midfield and up front but is not known for his goal scoring exploits having scored 13 goals in 58 games since joining AZ from Kalmar FF in 2009.

Both Arsenal and Manchester United are believed to have been tracking Elm for some time but the Daily Mail suggests Tottenham have now joined the race to sign the Swedish ace, who’s rated at £6m.

Gossip Rating: This seems like a fairly weak piece of transfer gossip from the Daily Mail, with no solid evidence of interest from the Premiership trio. Football-Talk would rate this rumour as a poor 3/10.
