Wycombe Wanderers have confirmed that youngster Jordan Ibe has joined Premier League giants Liverpool.
The 16-year-old talent from the Wycombe youth set up completed his move this afternoon after the two clubs reached a financial agreement.
A statement on the Wycombe official website read:
“It’s a fantastic move for him,”
“He’s a phenomenal talent which is why we gave him a chance to show what he can do at first-team level.
“Obviously we wanted to keep him, but we didn’t want to stand in the way of an opportunity he deserves.
“I have no doubt in my mind that he will go on to become a big star and I will be keeping a close eye on his progress.
“I would like to wish him and his family all the best for the future.”
Ibe has been tracked by several top clubs including Man City, who are reported to have offered better financial terms in addition to a car and house for the teenager, but Liverpool have clinched the signature of one of the country’s most highly-rated youngsters. The exact terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
