Honduras v Chile
Under 2.5 Goals 8/13 SKYBET – Still we have had only 2 games this World Cup with over 2.5 goals. The earlier kick-offs are particularly underwhelming. This bet is a worth a shout for almost all the games should the bookies provide decent value in the market like they have done for this one.
Honduras Most Booking Points 13/5 SKYBET – I see no logical reason why Chile should be expected to get more cards than Honduras. Perhaps we could even expect Honduras to be making more challenges with Chile having more of the possession. Although this is a hard outcome to call the odds have determined this bet to worthy of a small stake.
Over 9 Corners 5/6 BET365 – The corner market has served well thus far and I see this bet as another great opportunity. The vast majority of games have produced more than 9 corners so at these odds this is well worth a decent stake, especially since both teams will be looking to get down the flanks and cross balls in as we have seen in previous matches.
Spain v Switzerland
Spain to win to nil evens SKYBET – I see Spain winning this one 1 0 or 2 0. Switzerland will set out defensively and look to contain the Spanish onslaught. I believe Spain will find it harder than expected to break-down the opposition defence but with this in mind, Switzerland will struggle to score one themselves and will inevitably concede at least one against a far superior outfit.
Corner Handicap +5 Switzerland Evens SKYBET – Spain will certainly win more corners in this game but I see them struggling to reach this target, especially since Switzerland should get a few in addition. This bet has great value at evens and I am hoping for more success from this market.
Over 9 Corners 4/7 Bet365 – For reasons explained earlier this is a great bet. I expect Spain to win the majority whilst Switzerland will win a few on the counter.
South Africa v Uruguay
Draw No Bet Uruguay 4/6 SKYBET – I believe against Mexico, South Africa were fortunate to get the draw. They were hard-working but Mexico dominated in terms of passing and technical ability. I think maybe their luck will run out in this one and with the cover of the draw this bet is highly valuable.
Over 9 Corners 5/6 BET365 – A higher pace expected in this night time game which generally leads to higher levels of corners. No more explanation needed form what has already been discussed.
Corner Handicap + 1 Uruguay 5/6 SKYBET – Mexico won more corners than South Africa so I am not quite sure why Skybet are offering Uruguay the handicap. I would expect them to get more corners either way so at these odds and with this advantage the bet is a gift.
