Manchester United have been dealt a blow after long-term transfer target Alan Dzagoev has revealed he no longer want’s to move to England.

The Russian international is regarded by many as the future of the Russian national team and has been dubbed ‘The Russian Messi’ due to his playing style.

Premier League Champions Man Utd are believed to be long-term admirers of the 21-year-old and have been linked with a January move.

Dzagoev has previously expressed an interest in moving to England and has even sounded out United as a potential destination, but the tricky attacker has now revealed he’s been put off a move to England due to it’s relatively poor climate and would now prefer a move to either Italy or Spain.

When asked about his future, and in particular a move to England, Dzagoev said:

“Now my dreams have changed.” he said.

“I am drawn more and more to the warmer climes – Italy or Spain.”
