Anderlecht striker Matias Suarez has admitted he dreams of making a “big transfer”, amid interest from Premier League giants Arsenal.

The Gunners have sent scouts to run the rule over the talented forward this season, who has scored an impressive 14 goals in 16 games so far this term.

Arsene Wenger is thought to be keen to add striking reinforcements this January in order to lighten the goal-scoring burden from Robin van Perise. Thierry Henry has just completed his move on a 2-month loan deal, but Wenger is keeping an eye out for another attacker and Suarez is believed to be on his short list.

The 23-year-old is aware of interest in his services and is keen to make a move to a big club, but not before he wins the league title with current club Anderlecht.

“I do dream of a big transfer, but at the moment it is quiet,” said Suarez. I want to be champions with Anderlecht.”

Suarez has been rated at £10m and has been linked with clubs from Spain and Italy, as well as Arsenal.
