Chelsea Transfer News: Di Matteo Discusses January Plans

Chelsea assistant manager Roberto Di Matteo has been discussing the clubs January transfer plans and revealed he doesn’t expect a busy month in West London.

Chelsea assistant manager Roberto Di Matteo has been discussing the clubs January transfer plans and doesn’t expect a busy month in West London.

The blues are on the verge of completing the £7m signing of Bolton defender Gary Cahill, with Owen Coyle confirming a deal should be finalised this weekend.

Nicolas Anelka has already moved to the Far East, while there are doubts over the futures of strikers Saloman Kalou and Didier Drogba, who both are out of contract in the summer and linked with January exits, potentially leaving a huge hole in Andre Villas-Boas’ attacking options.

Chelsea have been linked with a host of strikers, with Porto’s Hulk and Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain both touted as potential signings.

However, despite the rumours Di Matteo insists Villa-Boas is happy with his current crop of players and doesn’t expect a busy month at Stamford Bridge:

“I wouldn’t expect too much to happen in this market,” commented Di Matteo.

“We are happy with the quality we have.

“We are very happy with the team, with the players we have.”

Hello avb what your problem you have been given €150 to buy players spend the money and good players that would suit chelsea such as hulk, cahil, avaro pereira, klasic, cavani, hamsic, cavani, higuain, modric, snidjer and van der weil this some of the players you have talk about this transfer window buy some of the people that fit our style among this players it a would be a big mistake by not signing players this january and you will blame for it if you don’t sign

Firstly, i appreciate de effort of avb n di matteo, note dat its not easy 2 get quality players in january as clubs are keeping there best players and releasing sub players. I think it will be ok 2 bring some reserve from our system and also loan players. Mayb 1 or 2 players this january nd masive overhaul during sumer, the reason is that we ‘ve a new style/system of play. Up chelsea! Up Avb! Blues 4 life…….

AVB was ‘happy with the squad’ back in the summer and apparently is still ‘happy with the squad’ even though for Chelsea we are playing crap! Well Numpty the fans arent happy with the squad so piss off and let someone else come in that actually knows what they are doing!
