Liverpool fell further behind in the race for fourth after yet another frustrating home draw, this time at the hands of Stoke City. Kenny Dalglish decided to leave Andy Carroll on the bench, with Dirk Kuyt preferred up front. But the Dutchman couldn’t provide that attacking spark the Reds clearly miss without Luis Suarez.

Carroll also struggled to make an impact when he was introduced early in the second half as Liverpool struggled to break down a well drilled Stoke side. Watch highlights from the game here.
