Chelsea vs Man Utd: Team News, Likely Line-ups & Predicted Score

Man Utd travel to Stamford Bridge this Sunday looking to secure all three points and keep pace with Man City. Here’s team news, likely line-ups & predicted score.

chelsea news

Man Utd travel to Stamford Bridge this Sunday with high hopes of bringing home the 3 points needed to keep pressure mounted on Man City. Chelsea are currently 12 points behind the Reds in 4th place, but will be looking to extend their lead over Arsenal who are now just 2 points behind after their 7-1 win over Blackburn today.

While United haven’t won away at Chelsea since April 2002,  they are in very good away form with 4 wins out 6 away games this season, so go in to this game in great form.

Team News

Fergie says Wayne Rooney, Nani and Ashley Young could all return for the trip to the Bridge. However, Anders Lindegaard has been ruled out for around 4 weeks so it’s likely David De Gea will be back between the sticks. Anderson, Fletcher, Vidic and Jones all remain out but Rio Ferdinand should return.

John Terry has been ruled out for Chelsea and joins Ramires and Mikel on the sidelines. Ashley Cole is also suspended leaving Andre Villas-Boas with few options at the back for the Blues. Bosingwa is likely to come in at left back, with Gary Cahill making his first start for the club alongside Luiz.

Predicted Score

These games are always tight affairs but with Chelsea missing their best two defenders in Terry and Cole, i can see United sneaking this one. Chelsea 0-1 Man Utd.

It should be a tough match but i give it to man u because of the history blues have over them @ home. If rooney and nani should play man u will come out stronger.
