Arsenal Complete Signing Of Highly-Rated Winger Tarum Dawkins

Arsenal have completed the signing of highly-rated midfielder Tarum Dawkins, Luton Town have confirmed today, and the player will now join their youth ranks

Arsenal have completed the signing of highly-rated midfielder Tarum Dawkins, Luton Town have confirmed today.

Arsenal are yet to announce the deal, but Gregg Broughton, who head’s up the Youth Academy at Luton Town, has confirmed that the 16-year-old has moved to the Emirates for a significant transfer fee.

Luton also revealed that the Gunners had to fight off competition from fourteen Premier League clubs during negotiations that lasted over nine months.

Dawkins chose to join Arsenal, who are close to his home town of Kilburn, and will now join the Gunners youth ranks and work his way through the system. We wish Dawkins all the best during his time at Arsenal and hope to see him pushing for a first team place in a few years!

Here is what Gregg Broughton told lutontown.co.uk:

“This deal has been a lot more drawn out than others completed by the club in the last two years, and this reflects the level of interest show in Tarum.

“Immediately after our loss in the play-offs last season we were told that Tarum felt his future lay away from Kenilworth Road, and now after nine months of negotiations, we are delighted that Tarum has found a club that he feels can help him fulfil his dream of playing at the highest level.

“He is very quick both with and without the football, can play off both feet and therefore he will fit in very well with Arsenal’s style of play. Playing on either wing he is capable of beating full backs on both the inside and outside making him very difficult to play against.

“Tarum initially started in our Performance Centre at Crawley Green and, after impressing in this environment he was promoted to the Centre of Excellence as an Under-13. Last season he regularly played up a year in the Under-16s where he was regularly monitored by the England scouts and most of the Premier League clubs.

“Despite the club’s current non-league status, we continue to produce players with Premier League pedigree. Whilst we have now sold a number of elite players, it must be recognised that these youngsters have joined some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

“We still retain a large number of excellent young footballers across all of the age groups, as is demonstrated by the six recent first team debuts. Luton Town is still recognised as one of the foremost breeding grounds for identifying and developing Premier League players in the country.

“We never like to lose talented players from the club, but after sitting down with Tarum and his family last month we recognised that he was desperate to join Arsenal, and as I have said before, if players are unsettled and wish to look elsewhere, and the deal is right for all parties, then it is the most sensible way to progress.

“We would like to thank Arsenal for the professional manner in which they have conducted themselves and wish Tarum the very best for his ongoing career.”

I AM SO SICK OF REPORTS LIKE THIS. this is a player maybe a scout has seen on one or two of his travels and thinks he has talents. He is 16 and probably wont see first team football for 4 years if ever!! every team in the worlds make signings like this all the time it just seems like its Arsenal who it gets reported on.
ARSENAL FANS PLEASE PAY NO ATTENTION TO THIS ARTICLE and dont get annoyed that we have signed another youngster because our youth and reserve system is HUGE and he will be slotted in there. its all part of running a successful club.

Arsenal do have plenty of young players but 14 Premier League Clubs !!! I think it’s fair to say that he’ll be Premier League quality when he matures unless all of the best scouts in the country have got it wrong.

I am also sick of all young player and hungery for real one, but we have to take to considration that evey club has to build up there squad and players getting old one day and they have not the same pace but lot of experience, thats why Arsenal has buy them but they need to play beside experiented player until they get mature, her is Arsenal problems, they expect the boys do a mans job, we need class player and i am sure the arseholls in the board have understod that for next season.all the clubs around the world has begun to do that but not the same way, we have done, i hope and i am sure they got it even Wenger, lets hope!!!!!!!! love Arsenal 444444 ever
