Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has been snapped wearing a Liverpool goalkeeper shirt after the Gunners victory at Anfield on Sunday.
The pic was taken in the Reds changing room and very nearly caught Thomas Vermaelen in an uncompromising situation as the defender got changed in the background!
Emmanuel Frimpong revealed the picture on his Twitter account (@Frimpong26AFC) last night, with an accompanying message saying:
“Am sorry Gunners But @JackWilshere let us all down wearing this to traning Today”
Wilshere (@JackWilshere) replied saying:
“Haha @T_Vermaelen05 has been exposed by @Frimpong26AFC
Before Vermaelen (@T_Vermaelen05) sent Frimpong a message saying:
“Enjoy ur last night on earth! See u tomorrow!”
The picture sparked rumours that Wilshere was a secret Liverpool fan. However, the 20-year-old later eased those fears, Tweeting that he was simply a fan of Anfield stopper Pepe Reina:
“And by the way….Gooners, don’t worry I am not a Liverpool fan I am a Pepe Reina fan! #Decent keeper!”
