[Teams] Sunderland vs Liverpool: Confirmed Line-ups

By on March 10, 2012

Liverpool play Sunderland at the Stadium of Light this afternoon and we have the confirmed line-ups for you.

Kenny Dalglish will be hoping to get the Reds back on track after the disappointing 2-1 defeat to Arsenal at Anfield last weekend, which leaves the Merseysiders 10 points adrift in the race for fourth place this season.

If Liverpool have any desires to be playing Champions League football next season then this is surely a must-win game.

Captain Steven Gerrard is fit again but only makes the bench, Glen Johnson remains out so Martin Kelly continues at right back. Sebastien Coates is preferred to Jamie Carragher at centre back while Andy Carroll is dropped with Kuyt starting.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Sunderland Team

Mignolet, Bardsley, Bridge, Turner, O’Shea, Larsson, McClean, Colback, Gardner, Campbell, Bendtner.

SUBS: Kyrgiakos, Kilgallon, Vaughan, Meyler, Wickham, Elmohamady, Gordon.

Liverpool Team

Reina, Kelly, Enrique, Skrtel, Coates, Bellamy, Spearing, Adam, Henderson, Suarez, Kuyt.

SUBS: Doni, Gerrard, Carragher, Carroll, Rodriguez, Downing, Flanagan

We’ll have video highlights up on the site shortly after the final whistle, so check back later.

Dissappointing team selection , where’s shelvey ? What has henderson given us this season ? Downing on his best form gets the bench . Happy to see coates though, did a fantastic job on torres at chelsea earlier this season
