Lukas Podolski has denied reports that he has reached an agreement to sign for Arsenal at the end of the season, according to Sky Sports News.

Podolski was in action for FC Cologne on Saturday and was harshly sent off during a 1-0 win over Hertha Berlin. Speaking after the game, the German was quoted by Sky Sports News as saying despite the recent reports suggesting he was on his way to the Emirates, he is yet to make a decision on his future.

“Contrary to the reports of the past few days, nothing has been decided yet,” Podolski told German Sky Sports.

“If there is something to report, I’ll let you know.”

There are two ways to look at this. Either no agreement has been reached and once again we’ve been duped by unreliable ‘sources’ and media garbage. OR, there is an agreement in place but all parties are keeping it quite until it can be officially announced at the end of the season.

The fact is, very rarely are transfers like this ‘officially’ announced half way through a season. It’s disruptive to the selling club, the buying club and the player. So it’s totally unrealistic to expect Podolski to come out and say “yeah, it’s true. I have agreed to join Arsenal at the end of the season. I can’t wait.”

So lets just sit tight, and see what happens in the summer. But i am still confident he’ll be a Gooner next season!

Hey mate, I’m sure something that’s this newsbreaking and needs to be kept under wraps would just be told to a dietition (FYI its dietician). Hey everyone my best friend is the janitor at FC and Lukas told him in confidence that he’s signed a contract with JKS Jaroslaw in the Polish third division, he’s moving there this summer and just can’t wait!!!! Why spread more stupid rumours dumbass??
