Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has been discussing the future of Robin van Persie as well as the possibility we will strengthen in the summer.

We all know by now that Robin van Persie’s contract will enter it’s final year this summer and the club, as well as the fans, are desperate for him to commit his future to Arsenal.

Quoted by Sky Sports News, Hill-Wood said that he believes Van Persie and his family are very happy with life in London and his captain would not have his head turned by a larger contract offer elsewhere.

RVP has been in spectacular form this season and is easily in the form of his life right now, so it’s only natural that he’s linked with a big-money move away from the Emirates. However, the Gunners Chairman, who is not one to shy away from giving his opinion to the media, has hinted that he feels our star striker can be persuaded to remain in North London.

“I think Robin and his family are very happy in London and I don’t think he is solely motivated by money as some players are.” Hill-Wood was quoted as saying on Sky Sports News

Hill-Wood then went on to say that manager Arsene Wenger has ample funds available to strengthen his squad this summer, but insisted the club would not be paying “silly” prices for their targets.

“If we find the right person for the right position we are happy to buy,”

“We have got enough to pay anything but silly prices.” Hill-Wood said on Sky Sports News

That’s all well and good Mr Hill-Wood, but we’ve heard it all before. Now is the time to stop talking to the press, and go take care of business!
