Wesley Sneijder has ended speculation he may join Manchester United this summer by insisting he will remain in Italy with Inter Milan. The Dutchman has been in sparkling form for his country at the World Cup and is currently the joint top-scorer with Spain’s David Villa. Reports emerged over the past few days that United were interested in bringing him to Old Trafford this summer and a £29m bid was thought to be on the table.
Milan president Masismo Moriatti confirmed interest from United but expressed his reluctance to enter negotiations. Now Sneijder himself has declared he will stay on at the San Siro.
“I am staying, i will play for Inter Milan next season.
My heart is in Milan where i won everything last season and there is still a lot more to win like the European Super Cup, the Italian Super Cup and the World Club Cup”
