Manchester United moved three points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table after a hard fought 1-0 win over Fulham at Old Trafford tonight.

Wayne Rooney got the only goal of the game just before half time, when he slammed home Jonny Evans’ cut back. The visitors had a strong claim for a last minute penalty when Carrick bundled into Murphy in the area, but the referee waved play on and United hung on to claim the win.
