[Video Highlights] Wigan 1-0 Man Utd: Maloney Shocks United

The title race is on once again after Manchester United went down 1-0 to Wigan at the DW Stadium. The hosts thought they had taken a first half lead when Victor Moses headed home from a corner, but the linesman had his flag up, although it wasn’t exactly clear what the infringement was.
However, Wigan got their reward for a hard-working display when Shaun Maloney curled home a superb strike shortly after the break. United should have had a penalty when Figueroa handled in the box but the referee waived play on and Wigan held on for a famous win. The defeat, combined with Man City’s 4-0 win over West Brom, leaves United just five points clear of their rivals. Watch video highlights here:
