[Teams] Chelsea vs Barcelona: Confirmed Line-ups

By on April 18, 2012

Chelsea welcome Barcelona to Stamford Bridge tonight for the first leg of their Champions League semi final tie.

The Blues will be looking to right the wrongs of their last meeting in 2009, when a last minute Andres Iniesta strike sent the Catalans through on away goals on a hugely controversial night at the Bridge.

Barcelona are the current champions and bring with them the worlds greatest player in Lionnel Messi, who has already amassed over 60 goals this season. However, the Blues will be boosted by the fact the Argentine has never found the net on any of his previous six meetings with them.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Chelsea Team

Cech; Ivanović, Cahill, Terry, Cole; Lampard, Mikel, Meireles, Ramires, Mata; Drogba.

SUBS: Turnbull, Essien, Malouda, Bosingwa, Torres, Kalou, Sturridge.

Barcelona Team

Valdes; Alves, Puyol, Mascherano, Adriano; Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta; Sanchez, Fabregas, Messi

SUBS: Pinto, Bartra, Thiago, Piqué, Pedro, Keita and Cuenca

We’ll have video highlights from the game up shortly after the game, so check back later.
