Sochaux midfielder Ryad Boudebouz has revealed that Liverpool are in talks with his agent over a possible move to Anfield, according to the Daily Mail.

The Algerian has become one of the most highly-rated youngsters in French football after two impressive seasons at Sochaux and was named Young African Player Of The Year in 2010.

However, it’s reported that Boudebouz is ready to take the next step in his career after a 14th place finish in Ligue 1 last season, and the 22-year-old attacking midfielder has confirmed his agent has been in talks with several interested parties, including Liverpool. Quoted in the Daily Mail, Boudebouz said:

‘Certainly, my agent is in talks with some clubs, particularly in France, but there is still nothing concrete.

‘There is also Liverpool, who have initiated discussions with my agent, but at the risk of repeating myself, everything is in the discussion stage, no more.’

Boudebouz joined Sochaux as a youngster in 2004 and has gone on to make 130 appearances for the club, scoring 20 goals, and is known for his exciting attacking style of play.
