Chelsea Beat Arsenal To Land Highly-Rated Belgian Youngster

Chelsea have beaten rivals Arsenal and Manchester City to the signature of Anderlecht’s highly-rated youngster Charly Musonda, according to reports today.

The report claims that Arsenal held talks with the 15-year-old in London last month, while Manchester City are also said to have scouted the player on several occasions last, with clubs alerted to his talents after a string of eye-catching display’s for Anderlecht’s youth team.

However, Charly has decided to join European champions Chelsea, who have also agreed deals to bring his two brothers, Tika and Lamisha, to Stamford Bridge.

All three brothers are Belgium youth internationals but its Charly who is regarded as the best prospect of the trio and has been tipped to make a similar impact to fellow country-man Eden Hazard, who also joined Chelsea this summer for £32m.

The signing is further evidence of a shake-up at the Bridge this summer, with a real emphasis on improving the clubs youth team set ups, as well as the first team, thought to be high on the clubs agenda this summer.
