Podolski Officially A Gooner After Completing Arsenal Move

By on July 4, 2012

Lukas Podolski is finally an Arsenal player after officially completing his move from FC Cologne today.

The Gunners announced at the end of April that they had agreed a deal to sign the German striker from Cologne this summer on a long-term contract but the transfer was not officially rubber-stamped before the player headed off to Euro 2012 with the German national team.

However, the club has now revealed on Arsenal.com that Podolski arrived at the Emirates today to sign his contract before being taken on a tour of Highbury House to meet club staff.

The 27-year-old then made the short walk to the Emirates with his family where he took a tour of the stadium, visited the dressing room, stepped out on to the pitch and collected some souvenirs from the club shop.

I personally think Podolski will prove to be an excellent piece of business for Arsenal and he has all the attributes to be a real success in the Premier League.

Welcome to the club Lukas, your a Gooner now!
