[Video] Highlights of Alberto Aquilani’s Performance vs Toronto

Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani was back in action for the Reds after two years in the wilderness, as the Reds continued their pre-season tour of America with a 1-1 draw against Toronto FC. 

Having joined the club from Roma in 2009, Aquilani quickly fell out-of-favour and spent the last two season on loan at Juventus and AC Milan. However, new Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has assured the player he will be given a chance to resurrect his Anfield career and the 28-year-old put in a decent display against Toronto on Saturday.

It’s clear the Italian can pass a ball, so perhaps he’ll be better suited to Rodgers style of play and he can finally kick-start his Liverpool career. Watch highlights of his performance here:
