With the summer transfer window in full swing, Football Talk will be keeping you up-to-date with all the latest transfer news throughout the summer. Today, Chelsea confirm their spending spree isn’t over.

Chelsea are set to continue their summer spending spree despite owner Roman Abramovich already splashing out over £60m on new talent, according to the Daily Mail.
The European champions have already signed Eden Hazard, Marko Marin and more recently Brazilian playmaker Oscar for a combined total of more than £60m.
But chief executive Ron Gourlay has fired a warning at their rivals by revealing the clubs spending is set to continue as they look to build a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League as well as defending their champions league trophy.
Speaking after Chelsea’s 1-0 pre-season defeat to AC Mialn, Gourlay is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail:
‘While we ended with a very strong season, it was clear that there were some areas where we did have to strengthen, so we knew we were always going to have to do that.
‘If the right players become available at the right time we will sign them. We’ve done that and we are still continuing to look at one or two positions and we will see how that develops over the next couple of weeks.’
A striker remains the priority for manager Roberto Di Matteo, with Edison Cavani and Radamel Falcao among the players being considered good enough to fill the boots of the departed Dider Drogba.
The other position the Italian would like to strengthen is right back, after Jose Bosingwa left the club at the end of last season and question marks remain over the future of Paulo Ferrira.

Wish Chelsea would get Maximilliano Pereira – the Benfica right full back. He’s very very good and underrated. He one of the rare defenders whose high attacking and defensive work rate and out is actually on par with each other. His work rate is similar ot Ashley Cole’s at both ends of the pitch. Azpilicueta is pretty overrated, seen him play, he doesnt deserve the hype he gets – Im pretty sure thats just because he’s spanish. If he was half decent he would have been selected as Spain’s U23’s Right back – he didnt he play. Also, Chelsea should get rid of Mikel. Mikel is the primary reason why Chelsea has no fluency in their build up play and passing. He’s slow, never runs, doesnt move to help out players in isolated positions, doesnt mark, hardly ever tackles and has zero work rate – the exact opposite of what you would expect from a DMID. I wish people would see that his sluggish and unproductive playing is the main reason why Chelsea is always defendng for their lives. Chelsea should seriously get rid of him, every other dmid they have some particular quality to them while Mikel is absolutely useless.

Hahahahaha..!! You’re a nutter.
A nutter that also can’t spell very well or construct sentences properly.
The man spoke about what he believed is the truth and even provided some support. It’s up to you to disprove him if you feel he is incorrect.
Be ashamed and forever silent on the internet.

Kris if dere iss anyway mikel has offended u. I think itts high time u 4gave him cos a player to be rated among premeirship best passers he really deserves it. Not all midfeilders are attackers or else d defence will be very porous. Now d reason why arsenal conceded much goals las season is becos alexandra song was pushed 4ward, so brother take ur ropes off mikel’s neck.thanks.

Being a Mikel fan I see I sign of truth inn wht ht kris says abt Mikel,di guy is too slow, but no need of abusing let Mikel learn
Hw to alwez push forward di guy has
accurate passes, see Rimeres vry gud in
Counter, lyk wise essien in his gud days
he is very quick and alwez pushing
